Ashley Community Housing Offices - Bristol, Birmingham & Wolverhampton

BRISTOL

Ashley Community Housing has been operating in Bristol for the last 8 years and has built a reputation for being the number one housing association for refugees.

Within Bristol 25% of the people accepted for priority homeless in Bristol are from refugee and Black and Minority Ethnic communities.

Some of our learners and tenants have come straight from war torn countries, others have come via different African, European and Asian countries. Unfortunately language barriers and lack of formal education has resulted in high unemployment rates, which is where our training courses can help them become employable.

BIRMINGHAM

During 2011/ 2012 we researched the housing market in Birmingham and confirmed the existence of the largest refugee and newly arrived communities outside London.

This research also identified more competition amongst other housing associations for our client group. Being able to operate as a specialist provider of culturally competent supported accommodation enabled us to enter this market in July 2012.

Our Birmingham office has brand new training facilities which are used for numerous classes such as English My Way and Job Club

In 2016 we opened our Wolverhampton office to meet the demand within the housing market there.

Located in Derwent House on Waterloo Road we are close to the Refugee and Migrant Centre, and offer ESOL, employability and Job Club sessions in our on-site training facilities.
