Outreach and Training Officer - Community Matters  

 
Fully funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund through the Building Better Opportunities Programme. Salaries are £20,000 per annum, pro-rata. Fixed term contract to December 2019. 
 
The ideal balance between the two roles would be to recruit someone will to lead on promotion and learner recruitment and someone able to lead on training delivery. However, you will work closely together, share tasks and cover for each other when necessary. Targets are achievable, allowing you to provide a quality, personalised service. 
 
Your work through Community Matters will revolve around development of ‘soft skills’, so you’ll be providing individual confidence building and goal setting sessions, identifying existing skills and interests, coordinating outings and small group social activities, including functional, conversational English. There will be real scope to express your interests and abilities within this role. 

Outreach and Training Officer - Black Country Click Start  

 
Fully funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund through the Building Better Opportunities Programme. Salary £20,000 per annum, pro-rata. Fixed term contract to December 2019. 
 
This role provides significant scope to design and deliver training around the broad digital and financial inclusion topics and to express your interests and abilities. You will promote opportunities, recruit learners and deliver individual and group support. Targets are achievable, allowing you to provide a quality, personalised service. 

Outreach and Training Officer - Skills Support for the Unemployed and Advanced Learner Loans  

 
Salary is £20,000 per annum, pro-rata. Fixed term contract to July 2018, with possibility of extension subject to performance. 
 
You’ll be part of a small existing team working closely together to deliver a range of support designed to help people find work, an apprenticeship or access education. Across the team you’ll provide a range of ‘preparation for work’ activities, level 1 and 2 training programmes, work with local businesses to source vacancies for your learners, as well as promotion and outreach to recruit learners. 
 
There are opportunities to also deliver Advanced Learner Loans courses at level 3, for which additional hours may be available around the core 22.5 hrs/week. 
 
You'll be working across Sandwell and Wolverhampton. A car would be useful, but not essential.
