Volunteering Opportunities

Ashley Community Housing is an award-winning specialist housing and training provider with offices in Bristol and the West Midlands.
Our weekly Job Club has become very popular with both our tenants and members of the wider community.
We want to ensure that the Job Club not only acts as a hub for its users to access the internet, but that it promotes independence in people's job search, boosts people's confidence in applying for jobs and contributes to people gaining meaningful, long-term employment.

We are looking for a Volunteer Group Leader to run informal social events and groups for refugees, and members of the community in Sandwell. The aim is to improve integration of refugees and community members who have English as an additional language.

We are looking for volunteers to support learners in various classes such as ESOL, Preparing for Work, etc. The learners will be refugees and members of the community in Sandwell with little or no existing English skills.
We are looking for a Volunteer Support Worker to assist our dedicated and busy team of support staff. You will be a source of help and support to tenants under the guidance of experienced staff. You will assist in the smooth running of a busy housing office in Wolverhampton.

Meet our Volunteers
Haliima
Haliima started working for ACH as a Support Volunteer in Birmingham. Her role involved writing tenants action plans, ringing tenants to remind them about upcoming sessions, supporting tenants with job search and CV creations as well as shadowing support workers with day to day activities and tasks.

All this led Haliima to become a full time employee of Ashley Community Housing working as a Support Worker
