What project are you working on for us?
A little bit of everything I’m pleased to say. My primary responsibility is to develop and grow the non-housing business in the West Midlands, however this naturally includes ensuring that our current BBO and SSU contracts are performing well operationally. This in turn means also making sure that the constituent parts of our Birmingham and Wolverhampton operation – Housing, Support, NCS and Himilo teams – are working together to deliver the most efficient and high-quality service to our tenants and learners. I’m popping up all over the place.
What is it that you want to achieve?
I want to do everything within my power to help ACH to fulfil the enormous potential that I see everywhere throughout the organisation. This really is a great company, and we can all achieve so much together. I want to be a part of that.
What are you hoping to gain from Ashley Housing?
A positive working environment and a sense that I am working for a cause.
What is your proudest moment in your career?
Going from delivering carpets for a living, never having worked in an office, to managing a team of 20 Welfare to Work staff in only 18 months. It was flipping stressful, mind.
